Luncheon: Children’s Safe Harbor will honor Kim and Robert Marling of Woodforest Charitable Foundation at its capital campaign luncheon set for Friday, March 28, 2025, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

Through the stewardship of the Marlings, the Woodforest Charitable Foundation has been a major supporter of Children’s Safe Harbor since 2009. In 2022, the Foundation committed a $2.5 million donation toward the naming rights of Children’s Safe Harbor’s new building currently under construction in Conroe. The new, expanded 45,000-square-foot facility, set to open in the fall of 2025, will nearly double the size of the children’s advocacy center’s existing space.

Children’s Safe Harbor’s mission is to achieve justice, healing, and hope for every child victim of severe physical abuse, sexual assault, child sex trafficking, neglect, and trauma, and to engage the community in that mission. As a nationally-accredited, nonprofit children’s advocacy organization serving the counties of Montgomery County, Walker County, and San Jacinto, Children’s Safe Harbor is part of a nationwide effort to heal the trauma and facilitate justice for abused children ages 2 through 17 and their families.
